Omg I love suggesting books! These are a few of my absolute favourites.
Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath bit slow at first kinda but she sets the scene so nicely.
Keeper N’ Me Richarch Wagamese this is loosely based on the authors true story. Its about the main character who is taken from his home and put through foster homes because he is native and its the 60s.
Harry Potter as lame as it sounds is really xute and good and always makes me feel good haha.
Into the Wild, man who gives up everything in regular society to find his true core.
Wild, Cheryl Strayed is an amazing writer and person, she takes you through parts of her life from her high points to her low points with addiction to hiking for months straight
“When you find somebody you love, all the way through, and she loves you—even with your weaknesses, your flaws, everything starts to click into place. And if you can talk to her, and she listens, if she makes you laugh, and makes you think, makes you want, makes you see who you really are, and who you are is better, just better with her, you’d be crazy not to want to spend the rest of your life with her.”
- Nora Roberts, Happy Ever After
You are allowed to grieve the years you lost to mental illness. You’re allowed to be mad that it happened to you. You’re allowed to pine after the person you might have been had it been different. But don’t let that get in the way of your growing into your new self and following a wholly new path for your life.
